Scope of Services and School Advocacy Disclaimer: My clinical practice focuses on neuropsychological and educational evaluation, consultation, and recommendations based on an individual’s cognitive, academic, emotional, behavioral, and developmental profile. While recommendations may be helpful to families as they communicate with schools or other providers, my role does not include school advocacy, case management, or direct involvement in school-based decision-making. I do not attend school meetings, participate in IEP or 504 Plan meetings, negotiate with school teams, write advocacy letters, or provide reports, notes, or communications intended to direct or compel a school to provide specific services or accommodations. Decisions regarding eligibility, school programming, accommodations, services, and placement are made by the school team in accordance with applicable educational policies and procedures. Families who need support navigating school meetings, special education processes, or disputes with a school are encouraged to consult with an educational advocate, special education consultant, or attorney, as appropriate. My recommendations are clinical and educational in nature and are intended to guide understanding and support planning. They are not a guarantee that a school or other organization will adopt any specific recommendation.
